Single Stage Station

For pressure reductions not exceeding 100 psi* and low load variability.

Two Stage Series Station

For pressure reductions greater than 100 psi and low load variability. May also serve intermediate pressure
loads.

Single Stage Parallel Station

For total pressure reduction not exceeding 100 psi and loads that vary widely due to seasonal changes or process requirements. Uses two PRVs in parallel, typically.

Two Stage Parallel Station

For pressure reduction greater than 100 psi and highly variable loads. Also accommodates intermediate pressure loads, if required.

Steam Pressure Reducing Valve Stations Typically Include:

Standard Construction

Fabricated of ASTM A53, type S (seamless) pipe and nipples.
All welding is performed by ASME Section IX certified welders.
Most stations have floor support feet to be supplemented with field support for connecting piping.
High quality spiral wound gaskets with appropriate fill are used on all flanged connections.
Every PRV station is pressure tested prior to shipment to ensure leak free operation.

Options

Special Materials - Ductile iron or cast steel regulators.
Noise Attenuation – Muffling orifices, sound attenuators, insulation blankets
Pilots for additional functions – Temperature control, remote shut-off, remotely adjustable setpoint
Separators – When moisture content is of significant concern.
